Our Murals enhance the streetscape of historic Perth

 

Perth Fabrics, Crafts'n more is located in beautiful, historic Perth, just south and west of Ottawa, just off of Highway 7.

Our store has been adorned with 2 heritage murals painted by Michael O'Shea, the artist from Perth.

The front store mural depicts a family of pioneer women quilting a double wedding ring quilt for a young bride. There are four generations at the frame. In actuality, it is quite romantic, Michael has painted his wife as the young bride-to-be. In this era, quilting was a main social event.

 

 

The mural at the rear of our store welcomes people to Perth from the Municipal Parking Area, and is about 100 or 150 years later. It is painted in the art deco style. Once again, Michael painted his beautiful wife.
